The production of our refined soybean oil IP Ph. Eur. begins when the plants have reached full maturity. As soon as the leaves turn yellow and the bean pods are brown, it is harvest time. After harvesting, the soybeans are cleaned, sorted and transported to the oil mill. There, the oil is pressed out of the soybeans using mechanical extraction and then subjected to a refining process. Repeated filtering removes natural residues from the oil, resulting in a particularly high standard of purity and quality, which is then tested in our DIN ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

Our soybean oil stands out from conventional soybean oils due to its higher quality standard and always complies with the current version of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.). We control our refined soybean oil IP Ph. Eur. according to a special test plan. Our entire supply chain, including quality control and storage, is designed to ensure full traceability.

“IP” for soybean oil stands for ‘Identity Preserved’ and refers to the handling of genetically unmodified soy. It means that the entire supply chain is designed to preserve the identity of the non-genetically modified soy. Strict controls ensure that the oil comes from fields that are free from genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Usage

  • Cosmetics

    • The high content of alpha-linolenic acid helps to regenerate the skin
    • The lecithin it contains penetrates deep into the horny layer of the skin
    • Well suited for chapped and cracked skin

    • Basis for widespread use in the food industry, e.g. in margarine, cooking oil, salad dressings, mayonnaise, potato potato chips and deep-fried frozen foods

    • The smoke point of soybean oil is 230°C and is therefore ideal for cooking and baking
  • Pharmaceutics

    • Used for skin diseases
    • Used as an active ingredient carrier for lipid-soluble plant substances and vitamins

Sustainability & responsibility

The soy extraction meal and soy press cake produced during oil production is generally used as animal feed in livestock farming. Accordingly, there is no waste in the production of soybean oil; the product is fully utilized.

No other agricultural crop can produce such a high yield of protein per unit area as soy. This is why the importance of soybeans for feeding humanity will continue to increase. The growing plants bind nitrogen and thus have a positive effect on the soil. This positive property of the plant means that there is no need to artificially fertilize soybean fields with nitrogen.
